THYROID is one of the endocrine system’s glands.
Physiological functions of the thyroid:
- Controls the rate of the body’s energy
- Regulates digestion
- Regulates oxygen consumption
- Regulates mobilization of fat from storage
- Helps increase the activity of all organs
- Helps control body temperature (like an AC thermostat)
- In children, helps control growth and brain development (IQ)
- Has an effect on mood and emotion
- Plays an important role in immune function if it has enough iodine – it scans the blood in the body every 17 minutes so the gland’s secretion of iodine kills weak germs that are floating in the blood.
*Iodine is an antiseptic. Most bacteria is killed within 10 seconds by 1% solution of iodine.
- The thyroid promotes glucose catabolism, fats mobilization, protein synthesis, and liver’s synthesis of cholesterol.
- Nervous system in fetus, infant, and adult
- Normal functioning of the heart
- Normal muscular development and function
- Normal growth and maturation of the skeletal system
- Gastrointestinal system: GI motility and tone, increases secretion of digestive juices
- Reproductive system: normalize female reproductive ability and lactation
- Skin health: normal hydration and secretory activity of skin

Research has Shown that High dose of Biotin (B7) can affect the TSH and T4.
The recommended daily intake (RDI) of biotin ranges from 30 to 70 mcg per day, however the 10,000 times may improve quality of MS, but will affect the TSH& T4. Recomende dose may be different and affect differently in
each individual.
** please consult your Doctor If you have Low TSH and High T4. and taking High dose of Biotin, or simply stop the B7 supplementation. Please do not be your own nutritionist.
